I need tarot cards that would best represent the following:
thanks for the help and blessed be

Answer by Richard Moore
None are related specifically to Beauty in traditional Tarot. The Ace of Pentacles, however, is sometimes connected to the rose, a symbol of purity, promise, and beauty.

Loss: The Chariot, reversed; sometimes the Wheel of Fortune; Death; The Tower; Judgement, reversed; Five of Cups; Ten of Cups, reversed; Three of Swords, upright or reversed; Nine of Swords; Five of Pentacles; Nine of Pentacles, reversed. Closest is Death.

Remembrance/Past: Six of Cups; The Tower, reversed. Closest is Six of Cups.

Relationships: This one actually has too many to name. Nearly all Tarot cards can have some connection to relationships. Your biggest one, though, is The Lovers (obviously).

And don’t let all the naysayers discourage you. You are, by all rights, in the correct Answers section, and should get real answers to your question. You would, however, get more consistently useful answers in Mythology & Folklore, as Christians have driven everything else out of the Religion & Spirituality section, forcing us to relocate. We really should take our place here again, though. They have no right to say that they are the only real religion.

Beauty: The Queen of Wands – her attributes include beauty and attractiveness.

Loss: 5 of Cups; definitely a card of loss & grief. Remembrance: 6 of Cups. The 6 of Cups can reflect a feeling of nostalgia so you could say its loss & remembrance since you can’t be nostalgic for something you still have!

Relationships: 2 of Cups; love & partnerships

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Is there anyone know a website where they give out free tarot cards?

I always wanted tarot card without paying for them.

Answer by phaja1niner
Well you won’t get free actual cards here but you can get a free reading @ http://www.llewellyn.com/free/tarot.php. Lots of decks and spreads to choose from there.

Answer by Lillith
no free decks from anywhere that I have seen.
Make your own would be a fun way of having a deck and not paying for it

Answer by J G
You could try http://www.aeclectic.net. They have a forum there, where people trade tarot decks. You probably wont get a free deck (although, it’s been known to happen) but you could trade something you have for a deck. Some people trade for books, crystals, stones, and other stuff. It might be worth a try. Good luck.

Answer by Rev. Lynn D.
The best way to get a Tarot deck is to have someone give it to you as a gift. You may find that situation by finding a Metaphysical chat room or forum where you can post your request.

Other than that, you will have to pay for them.

Answer by vid
I’ve seen some decks that people are able to print out, but honestly, that will probably use more ink than a deck would cost you and a deck is more durable and better to use.

If I could remember the websites I’d give them here, but I don’t. I’m sure you can do a search for them, but again, just go buy a deck–many are very cheap.

Answer by intuition897
You’ll have a tough time finding a FREE tarot card deck, unless you suggest it as a gift idea to someone. What I will suggest is watching the classified ads, kijiji, craigslist, ebay, and local thrift stores. I actually found an Angel Oracle deck, complete and in perfect condition, at a thrift store for $ 3.99. Now that’s cheap. Yard sales are another way to go. You’ll need to be patient, and flexible about what deck you get, but it’s been known to happen. Another option is to put out a REQUEST on kijiji, freecycle, and craigslist asking if anyone has a deck they want to give away or sell for a small price.

Although this is not the ideal way to learn, you could also use an ordinary deck of playing cards. Playing cards represent the pips or minor arcana of the Tarot. The four suits are as follows: Diamonds=Pentacles/Shields/Coins, Hearts=Cups, Spades=Swords, and Clubs=Wands. The face cards are the Tarot Court cards, Jacks (which are the Knights), Queens and Kings. The Pages are the only ones that are missing, but their energy can be combined with the Aces. A quick google for ‘playing card tarot’ came up with a ton of hits! There are lots of great tutorials out there…

Good luck!

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : How can I learn to read tarot cards?

Can someone please explain to me how to read tarot cards? Or at least give me a site to help? Also, is it possible to use a regular deck of playing cards if you know what each of the cards mean? I’ve heard of people doing this and don’t know if it’s possible, and if so how?

Answer by Hosea
What a useless skill.

A regular deck of cards do not have the major arcana (except for the jokers). I suggest you get the traditional Rider-Waite tarot deck. Also obtain a good book on how to read the basics of tarot. One such is Sasha Fenton’s Fortune Telling by Tarot Cards.

Answer by dynollis
I’ve never heard of using a regular deck to read tarot. Why would you when the tarot cards look so pretty? But I suppose you could, if you assigned meaning to them all. Almost all tarot sets come an explanation card or book. You could google it, or go to the library.

Answer by johndeand
first buy a deck… an easy one to start with is the Rider Waite Smith standard deck… and then just read the little booklet that comes along with it. here are some useful sites:

http://tarotforum.net (click “learn” and just read as much as you can)
http://www.ata-tarot.com/resource/cards/ (this has all the card meanings in a longer, more in-depth format…. VERY useful!!)

those two are the only ones i’ve used to develop my skill and now i’m really familiar with the deck… i never have to use a reference for meanings and i’m always right ^_^

you could also buy a book about tarot, which i recommend, especially one that has lots of spreads you can practice. basically you have to teach yourself… and it’s a really fun journey to take!

p.s. yes you can use a regular deck but it’s MUCH harder because there are no visual clues… and it’s nowhere near the same dynamic of meaning as a tarot deck. here’s a link: http://www3.sympatico.ca/terrir/romany.html

–EDIT– moriah may be a certified magickian, but i can assure you, a proper intuitive person/psychic can divine with *ANYTHING,* whether it’s a thoth deck (which is just as special as a rider-waite, thank you very much) or a deck of two-cent playing cards. i’m not bashing thoth decks though… some people find them easier to learn with than others, it just depends how you connect to the cards. i recommend buying a rider-waite AND a thoth deck (that’s what i did). and learn to read both (they’re very different)…

–second edit– moriah, from reading your answers to other questions, i can see you’re very wise, but really can’t you concede that the method of divination has no impact upon its accuracy?

If you really want to read the Tarot in depth and accurately, you need to forget about all these various haphazard systems. Concentrate on learning the associations of the Western Qabalah for each of the sephiroth and 22 paths in conjunction with the tarot cards. Get a deck like Aleister Crowley’s Thoth deck or one of the modern ceremonial decks. Forget about fluff crap like Rider-Waite or any of the silly Fairy decks out there. Get serious about magick and mysticism and you will EARN the right to read Tarot properly. If you just want to be a run of the mill fortune teller conning and bilking people then develop an imagination and just make crap up.

I run a free Tarot course by email which you are more than welcome to join 🙂

You can read regular playing cards (do a search on cartomancy). With a regular pack of cards ignore anything to do with the Major Arcana and Pages (these are Tarot only). The suits of playing cards correspond with the Tarot like so:

Hearts = Cups
Clubs = Wands
Diamonds = Pentacles
Spades = Swords

Hope this helps!

Join our forum, you can ask & practice as you like. I also run a tarot course for those interested.

Regular playing card divination is called Cartomancy.

“Celtic cross” learning tarot cards

Written by Ashnadel

About Me:
I’ve always ‘seen’ things that people would say are psychic and paranormal – and as a child, I had predictive dreams of ‘things to come’. Being that age, I was growing and playing but being a kid, I never really questioned this too much. Not until I got to about fourteen, when for some reason, I became very aware of it all and began to question. It was then that I suddenly started to realize that not everyone was having these dreams. Or that no-one else had their own ‘Cosmic Teachers’ who would come along, dressed in white and teach me.

I am not as anyone here, you can try by yourself, I am an expert in a different way, holding in my hand the secret of your life, I am from Land of the Pharaohs, I am Egyptian, we going to see together what is going on with you in your life, let’s start our journey into your deep inner and search into your Past, Present, and your near Future, only, for your own highest good. I used many tarot cards, I know lots of spreads, I hold lots of secrets, I can contact with your inner angels, to bring you your best thing for yourself and for your life.

Since being here on Oranum I have already been able to give guidance and spread the healing seeds of positivism, which I am a great believer of. Happiness is achievable for all of us if we learn how to ask for it.

You are at the right pace if you need to talk to someone about your worries and dilemmas, if you are you having self-esteem issues, and feel low on energy.
