Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : What is the Arcana? Is there a link between magick, and clairvoyance?

I hear talk about the Arcana, and I also hear about how the Arcana applies to Witchcraft. First off, what is the Arcana? And how is it significant to such a practice?

Answer by Shadow Storm – Witch & Healer
You asked about clairvoyance so I assume you heard it in a Tarot conversation.

Arcana means secret, hidden truths. It is the name of the first 22 cards in a tarot deck.
Magick is energy and clairvoyance is a reading of these energies (as is clairaudience and clairsentience).

Any intuitive skill is a reading of energy, tapping into the astral plane and looking at the future and magick is waht is done to change that future. The act of taking control on the outcome.

They are linked very well. I cannot do one without the other. For all my workings I consult the gods and other beings of light. And for all my use of oracular tools and intuitive work, I use magick to cleanse and balance my chakras. It goes hand in hand.

Blessings,
Shadow the Witch

The only arcanas I know are the Major and Minor Arcanas in Tarot… Or simply the meaning of the word “arcane” which is basically “secret”…

Answer by nini
Arcanas are the secret meaning of the symbols. Those term were being used in Tarot Cards. Major Arcana are the main events that might occur according to their reader and the minor arcana are the supplementary conditions leading to those major events.

It has nothing ot do with Witchcraft only in fortunetelling. However, some people choose a certain figure in the Major Arcana and some in the minor arcana suits (King, queen, page and cavalier) to signify themselves (depending on age, characteristics or occupation) and then use those figures as symbols in their magick rites.

I think Arcana are the 2 sets of Tarot cards within a common deck. There is the minor arcana (which is like a normal deck of playing cards with 4 suits, and 10 numbers and kings and queens and that) and then there’s the major arcana which is 22 cards based on the paths of the Tree of Life in Qabalah.

A relaxing weekend brunch….it gives the event a much different atmosphere than a night out.

Look around your area for a public park or scenic overlook. If there’s a flower garden, so much the better. Use that as a setting for an elegant picnic. If your budget would allow a rental, you could also check for local historical homes or museums that will rent you an area or space.

Serve individual quiches, or finger sandwiches made from small sub rolls filled with tuna, chicken, or egg salad. I had this artichoke and leek quiche at a party and it was fantastic: http://www.epicureantable.com/recipes/Q/quichearti.htm. If you’re in a public place, you can’t serve alcohol, so serve lemonade or iced tea. Otherwise, you could do white wine spritzers (wine with club soda, or maybe peach schnapps) or Alize, a pretty, self-contained (no need for mixers) alcoholic drink.

For a centerpiece, you can go small-scale with inexpensive potted plants with tiny blooms from the local nursery. These can go home with your guests as gifts.

With a pretty location, you can concentrate on conversation; you don’t need to plan games. Talk about memorable first dates, who’s known the bride the longest, and handling mothers-in-law.

bachlorette parties can go either way- tasteful or tacky- and each can be a great time!
if you’d like to do something outside the home you could always look into some type of boat tour or renting a pontoon boat on a lake or river for some relaxing fun, maybe a dinner cruise or cocktail cruise (we have them here in Milwaukee) or maybe a trip to a local comedy club for some laughs or a nice bar on top of a building downtown maybe for a few drinks.
if staying in you could always have a spa night where everyone does nails (or you can hire someone to come do nails or chair massages), facials, makeup tips, parfin wax baths, foot baths- anything spa related. you could get a cheap pair of flip flops for each guest as a party favor and maybe some lip gloss or nail polish or something in a little goodie bag. have light foods like finger sandwiches, smoothies or margaritas, veggie trays and fruit salad.
how about hiring a hula dancer or belly dancer to give lessons at the house or little more risque- a pole dancing lesson from an instructor!
you could hire a tarot card reader to give fortunes or palm readings
for my one friend we just went out to eat (located in a mall) then we went window shopping then stopped at another place for dessert (cheesecake factory yum!) then headed to a local bar by her house for a few drinks- it was a nice casual night out. we started off at her house for drinks (martinis) and she opened gifts.
one nice game/decoration is the tree of wisdom. get some large branches and stick them into a vase so it looks like a little tree. then you cut out hearts from colored paper and hang them from the tree (I used small pieces of pipe cleaner to make a little hook) then each guest will write down words of wisdom for the bride to be (either naughty or nice words of advice!). it looks rally pretty as a centerpiece on a table and you can send the hearts home with the bride as a memento of her party. you can also buy a martini or wine glass for each guest from the dollar store and decorate them with a paint pen in the wedding colors and use those as party favors for them also.

Rent a hotel suite and have an old-school slumber party. Don’t forget the Ouija board and the pizzas!

Intuitive Tarot Reading for September 30, 2013 – Psychic & Clairvoyant Insight

Written by Ashnadel

About Me:
————-
I’ve always ‘seen’ things that people would say are psychic and paranormal – and as a child, I had predictive dreams of ‘things to come’. Being that age, I was growing and playing but being a kid, I never really questioned this too much. Not until I got to about fourteen, when for some reason, I became very aware of it all and began to question. It was then that I suddenly started to realize that not everyone was having these dreams. Or that no-one else had their own ‘Cosmic Teachers’ who would come along, dressed in white and teach me.

I am not as anyone here, you can try by yourself, I am an expert in a different way, holding in my hand the secret of your life, I am from Land of the Pharaohs, I am Egyptian, we going to see together what is going on with you in your life, let’s start our journey into your deep inner and search into your Past, Present, and your near Future, only, for your own highest good. I used many tarot cards, I know lots of spreads, I hold lots of secrets, I can contact with your inner angels, to bring you your best thing for yourself and for your life.

Since being here on Oranum I have already been able to give guidance and spread the healing seeds of positivism, which I am a great believer of. Happiness is achievable for all of us if we learn how to ask for it.

You are at the right pace if you need to talk to someone about your worries and dilemmas, if you are you having self-esteem issues, and feel low on energy.
