Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : What exactly does a tarot card reader do

Ok tomorrow i’m going to a tarot card reader, just for the fun of it and for something to do. But i’m not sure exactly what kind of stuff they tell you? Do they tell your future or your present or something else?
thanks=]

Ok so a tarot card reader charges her card with universal energy (the stuff we are surrounded in and produce on the non corporal realm of things) and she will ask ask you to ask a question draw the cards that you feel have a ramification to you (face down). She will then lay the cards out and tell you about your past situations, the current situation, and what you can expect in the future. If they’re good they can get really in debth so don’t be alarmed.

Hope that helps. Don’t let them over mystify you though. This is something anyone can learn to do in time.

Hello

Dont go for fun, go because you have a reason & need insight.

A tarot reader can be many things, some are psychic – others not. Ask her she will tell you what she does & from what basis.

What areas she deals in I could not say, but tarot as with all readings can deal with the past, present as well as future projections.

If you are using Tarot cards as an oracle, you may be more inclined to read card meanings and spreads. But if using Tarot Cards as a tool for Psychic Ability you would be less likely to hold to any hard and fast guide lines. I’m a profession psychic and use Tarot Cards in a random way. In 25 years of professional readings I’ve never used any ‘meanings, spreads or reversals’ of tarot cards from any books.

So if you want to develop ‘Psychic Ability’ throw the books and guidelines away and let the images inspire you. But you may need to try the Rider Waite or another imaged deck.

Here’s the how-to of reading tarot cards with your psychic perception in six simple steps. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/reading-tarot-cards.html

You can use this four minute video as a brief meditation on the tarot that, repeatedly viewed, will help you learn how to read tarot cards psychically. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/tarotvision.html

To tap in to it more you can go to my free psychic development pages here: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/develop-psychic-ability.html

But on the other hand, if you want to use the Tarot as an oracle, a form of divination that needs no real ‘psychic ability’, then keep the books and use the meanings and spreads if you prefer.

Here is a free download demo for a great Tarot program. To keep the size of the demo manageable it contains the Rider/Waite deck, the actual program will have 10 complete decks. This Demo version of Tarot is a full working copy for 30 days. So you get 30 days to study meanings and spreads! http://www.free-tarot-download-demo.wotsnext.com

Tarot reading is a particular type of cartomancy – that is, divination using playing cards. Tarot cards are playing cards dating back to the mid 15th century and consist of a pack of regular playing cards (usually featuring Latin suits of cups, coins, swords, and batons, as well as having 4 court cards in each suit) that has been augmented with a fifth suit of trump cards – these originally took as their theme a traditional triumph procession, hence they were called trionfi, meaning triumphs, and from which we get our word trump.

Divination with tarot cards was first suggested at the very end of the 18th century by the Occultist Antoine Court de Gabelin, a resident of Paris. He supposed the cards to have been of ancient Egyptian origin (a theory that has been debunked by historians) and this was the origin of all occult belief about the cards. It was another century before this belief spread beyond France and took root in English speaking countries, where the practice of divination with them has gained great popularity.

Tarot readers attempt to learn answers about the future, the past, about individuals, about themselves, and the eternal verities. They do so by shuffling the cards and dealing a number out into a pattern called a spread. Cards falling in different positions within the spread are believed to represent different elements of the answer. Each card is assigned its own meaning or selection of meanings and these are applied and interpreted accordingly. You can ask a reader almost any question, so long as it does not require a yes or no answer – most readers seem to agree that the cards can’t be used that way.

As, contrary to the myths, tarot cards are not occult in origin, their use in divination seems no different in status to the use of regular playing cards, dominos, dice, tea leaves, or knuckle bones – they have all been used this way. I leave you to decide for yourself if they work or not.

I’ve consulted a tarot card reader about clues on the man i’m going to marry in the future and all clues point to this guy. but problem is the guy already has a girlfriend and we are miles apart. Will i just wait for destiny and fate to let it happen or will i make a move? But circumstances and him having tell me i should wait? And also are the chances of tarot card reading high and likely to happen or it’s not true at all?

Not good.

Trust God and His Word only and not the word of man.

Otherwise you will end up deceived and writing lies and evil like what is on these web pages.

Since the age of 2 I have had encounters and a personal relationship with loved ones crossed. In my opinion there are no better friends you can have. They are honest, without the capacity to hold ego or materialistic views and always give you accurate information to help you through whatever you are going through. They have the ability to see the past, present and future without judgement. Their accuracy is uncanny.

Having the gift of sight, hearing, sensing, smelling and tasting as well as empathy and the gift of communicating with spirit, gives me the ability to accurately read you without judgement.

Spirit has entrusted me with these gifts to help you in all areas of your life. It has been an exciting journey. This gift is generational and my grandmother and father both had the gift as well as my children.

I have assisted over 15,598 people online in the last 9 years alone. I have thousands of other clients as well. This is what I dedicate my life to as I know it is my life calling.
