all depends on the questions you were asking…

Strength card is all about find that *inner strength* to go forward, to find and develop patience, courage willpower and determination, but also having to fight for fair play on occasions.

Devil card suggests problems and worries that may not be giving you any peace and quiet or maybe you are a bit fed up and depressed about your life or question you are asking about.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Can I be a christian and a fortune teller?

I am just fascinated with all acts and entertainment fortune tellers can bring. Lately, I have been thinking maybe to start thinking about learnering how to read tarot cards in search of a way to make the events fun. In no means will I actually believe the predictions or my predictions as it is. is it sinful, will I look less fruitful to God?

Can a Christian commit sorcery and not be a flaming hypocrite? NO

Answer by Bibigirl
No.it’s the devil’s tool. If you want to know the future why don’t you ask God for the gift of prophecy.

Answer by oli
You know the answer. If you have a question, ask God.

Answer by Jenesis farmerz
Yes, you can be an ignorant fortune teller. Bible says No human has God powers such as seeing into the future or communicating powers to talk with ghosts or any spirit. If you do other things though, the bible does not specifically state against the other things.

I know that doing stuff like Tarot cards is sinful when you believe it and take it seriously. You can see this in Deuteronomy 18:10-13…
‘There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.’

And whereas I don’t know for a fact that what you are suggesting is wrong personally I wouldn’t want to risk it considering the above bible verse because it is certainly not a sin to avoid these sorts of things all together. The bible also says that it is a sin to do something if you are not sure whether or not it is a sin because if you do it you are not acting in faith.

The Bible clearly tells us that we can not serve two gods. The true God Jehovah and Satan the devil are in opposition to each other. If we ignore God’s laws and do the works of the devil, we make Satan our God. The true God Jehovah will reject any who make Satan their god.

1Corinthians 10:21- YOU cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; YOU cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons.

Matthew 6:24-“No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other.

Fortune tellers and tarot cards are works of the devil and must be avoided if we want a relationship with God.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12-There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

I don’t know where people are getting the idea that reading the Tarot is like worshiping the devil. I am a Christian and I read the Tarot. As a matter of fact, I pray before each reading and ask God for guidance, and I have always been VERY accurate. I’ve been doing this for years, and have yet to be struck by lightning or grow horns and a tail.

BTW, there’s also a verse in the bible that states that any woman who is not a virgin when she marries, should be stoned to death on her father’s porch. I’m sure there are at lease a handful of you here who, according to the bible, should be dead.
