Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Tarot: What does the 3 of cups mean in a tarot reading?

What does the 3 of cups mean in a tarot reading? I did a single card spread reading.

My question was, what should I do in order to get a particular love interest I’ve had my eye on, to notice me: I draw the 3 of cups.

Would anyone care to elaborate this answer? I know the 3 of cups usually means abundance or some form of celebration. but in terms of relationship advice, this is a rather vague card to draw advice from.
*the 3 of cups is in the upright position.

fulfillment of the Will of Love in abounding joy.. the spiritual basis of fertility

The three graces, or the triple goddess. It indicates that if you are eager to please the lady, you must get to know her mother and grandmother, or sisters or daughters if she has any. Women love men who treat all ladies with dignity, but maintain their romantic and sexual interest just for the one.

If you can’t get yourself invited to a family dinner, offer to take her and her mother and possibly grandmother out for a nice dinner “to celebrate womanhood” or some such excuse.

Three of cups: A fortunate end to a valued project or venture. A birth possibly physical, but may mean the birth of a new project instead. Great happiness as the result of a marriage or a birth. Something coming to fruition that was conceived out of love. A card of abundant fertility, trust harmony, maternity and the healing of ills. Possibly a celebration.

The way I interpret this is that you must complete whatever healing process or emotional development process you’re currently going through before you will catch their eye.

Upright – A fortunate end to a valued project or venture. A birth possibly physical, but may mean the birth of a new project instead. Great happiness as the result of a marriage or a birth. Something coming to fruition that was conceived out of love. A card of abundant fertility, trust harmony, maternity and the healing of ills. Possibly a celebration.

Reversed – Self indulgence to excess. Selfishness and sensuality. Loss of happiness. Loveless sex, unbridled passion, famine, illness possibly associated with smoking or over-eating. Promiscuity and obesity.

3 is the number for beginnings, cups are for love/relationships, put it all together and what do you get!
So i think just make the move, charm, celebrate like you said 🙂

Three of Cups :

Symbols -Three maidens in a garden each hold their cup aloft is if in salute or celebration.

Meaning -Resolution of a problem. Conclusion, satisfactory result. This is a card of mastery of situations.

Reverse -Excess, overabundance, pettiness, lack of appreciation.

This card foretells celebrations, so success is in the air. The usual warning is not to overdo things and get others off side.

Hello

It would also depend on the question asked at the position that it was placed in within the spread.

But on the whole it is a fun card, a time to be with others & to be happy.

When I see the 3 of cups, I refer to it as the “Eat, drink, and make merry” card. I would suggest finding out where she parties on the weekends. Make yourself conspicuous there, but don’t make an *ss of yourself. If you’re old enough to drink, go to the venue, but don’t drink any alcohol. Let her see the true you. Perhaps seeing you sober, when everyone else is trashed, will impress her.

It’s best to get one in person. for me when i’ve given them I like people to touch the cards

Answer by Silver
The best thing would be to do it in person. Or, you can get a tarot deck and learn to do it yourself. I found this great website that has begginer’s decks. Check it out at http://www.silverwingtarot.com

Otherwise, if you’d rather, feel free to contact me and I can do a reading for you.
