tarot card reader

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Need help creating characters from tarot cards?

Ok I had this idea of a teenage witch or wizard who ends up fighting totem (symbolic manifestations) of the tarot cards. I think I’ve got the minor arcana (pentacles, wands, cups and swords) figures out, one totem to each suit.

But I went looking at the major arcana I drew a blank. I can’t seem to turn them into something realistic. And by that Iean not something obvious, if there is a tower my reader will think ‘oh tower card, obviously’. Can anyone help me bring them to life?

Please dont write if all you going to say is ‘just write’ or ‘come up with it yourself’ cause that isn’t helping, its just annoying and a waste of time.

Mayeb you should take the personalities or “themes” of the tarot cards and put them into human beings. Like for the tower card, this is the meaning:

With Mars as its ruling planet, the Tower is a card about war, a war between the structures of lies and the lightning flash of truth. This is a card about anything we believe to be true, but later learn is false. This realization usually comes as a shock, hence, the violent image. It is, quite simply, that moment in any story where someone finds out a shocking truth, one that shatters their perceptions and makes them reassess their beliefs.

So, it sounds like the Tower card is quite a violent, harsh one so you should make the personification of it violent and war like–and maybe tall. Do you understand me? Use the traits of the cards rather then the actual things from it. Use subtle imagery like the tower person living in a very tall building, for instance.

🙂 I hope that helps.

Totem is an anglicized version of the word ‘odoodem’. It means Clan. It has nothing to do at all with new-agey concepts of animal spirit guides, or representations of a person’s personality.

It will be oh so nice, when new-agers stop their co-opting, of our words and symbols.

I am pretty sure the word you want is avatar…..an avatar of your cards….

What is a tower? Big, imposing, think some kind of massive cop or soldier….

Interesting spin on the whole Pokemon & done to death cards come to life genre….

There are hundreds of decks, and it will, of course, depend on which you take a shine to.

My two personal favorites are the Guilded Tarot and the Divine Tarot.

Both are traditional decks, both beautifully illustrated, and there’s a lot of visual clues in each that help a new reader interpret more precisely.
The deck and book as a set cost around $ 25 for either.

What is reliable? I’ve been to a printing company where they make some of these. (We sell playing cards wholesale at my job) They are mass produced with the same cardboard and inks. So what makes them special? How much do you think magic ink costs a gallon?

I do admit the designs are pretty cool, I saw one that is in on the vampire craze, but come on. Can anyone really buy paranormal ability? Like most types of divination, you have the props and the person that can read the randomness. That means you have to be a “psychic” to use them.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : What would it mean if a tarot reader repeated drew the 7 of Swords in a number of readings?

Would the card indicate something about herself or someone else?

possibilities please…
The card is out of place. The only thing that remains the same is the reader.

Could the reader be influencing the cards? If so, what would 7 or Sword be trying to tell her? about her own actions or someone else’s?

Answer by jjt
thats going to depend on the exact wording of the question when the cards were dealt.

Since the card has meaning in the spread positions, I’d take it as a part of the reading, not about the reader. Some cards just apply for multiple situations.

Unless she’s doing a reading about her own personal life, the card is for the person she’s reading for.

About Me:

I’ve always ‘seen’ things that people would say are psychic and paranormal – and as a child, I had predictive dreams of ‘things to come’. Being that age, I was growing and playing but being a kid, I never really questioned this too much. Not until I got to about fourteen, when for some reason, I became very aware of it all and began to question. It was then that I suddenly started to realize that not everyone was having these dreams. Or that no-one else had their own ‘Cosmic Teachers’ who would come along, dressed in white and teach me.

I am not as anyone here, you can try by yourself, I am an expert in a different way, holding in my hand the secret of your life, I am from Land of the Pharaohs, I am Egyptian, we going to see together what is going on with you in your life, let’s start our journey into your deep inner and search into your Past, Present, and your near Future, only, for your own highest good.
