Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Can you intrepret these tarot cards?

The question I asked to the tarot reader was: What does Concep really feel for Anthony? and i got 2 of swords, high priestess and knight of cups. What do those mean in regards to the question?

Answer by Lea
A very insightful guide to the meaning of 2 of swords: http://www.keen.com/documents/works/articles/tarot/2-of-swords-tarot-card.asp

High Priestess:

Knight of Cups:

I recommend reading them because you’ll be able to better interpret the answer since you know the nature of your question; your results will be more accurate that way 🙂

It’s always dangerous reading someone else’s cards, but that dosn’t stop me from wading in and giving it a go. Looks like budding romance to me. The Two of Swords means you (or she) has a decision to make. The Empress represents her, the essence of femininity. The Knight of Cups represents you, riding out to compete in the field of battle for her heart.

My gut feeling is you really like this girl, but hesitate in making a play for her. The Two of Swords tell me you must decide whether to go for it or not. Right now you are worrying, questioning, dithering, trying to make up your mind. You are stuck at the crossroads.

If there is one card which symbolizes the passionate young man winning the heart of his fair maiden, it is the Knight of Cups. Get on your horse, and win her heart. Go for it.

Im going to save you a SHITLOAD of money. It doesnt work. At all. its bogus. A man, James Randi Well over 20 years ago offered $ 1 000 000, to any person that could prove its real. The offer still remains. Nobody can prove it, but he can disprove everything.

You’re welcome. Unless you’re blind to sceince and logic, in that case, good luck.

Answer by Epiphanies from the Dark Tarot
Are tarot readings accurate? That really is a loaded question. We have free will, with a little bit of fate thrown in. They are meant to provide guidance and empower the person asking the question so they can make the choices for themselves. They reflect the path that you are on while you are on it. So right now for this moment in time, yes, they are accurate, but it depends on how they are interpreted, the reader might be the one that gets them wrong. If you are looking for a site for a free reading www.mellinetti.com has a free tarot app, it’s read it yourself, the positions and meanings are pretty clear. You can read your cards more than once in a day, but don’t be suprised when the same cards or answers come up. This is a real phenomenon that comes up when live tarot groups occur.

Also, James Randi refuses to step into haunted buildings for himself experiencing first hand paranormal experiences. There’s a difference between being cynical or skepical. James Randi is a cynic. A cynic refuses evidence. Also, he’s refused many psychics and hasn’t responded to their requests to attend the James Randi Foundation 1,000,000$ challenge. If a ghost came to him and slapped him in the ass. He’d flip his lid.

Answer by ChainLightninG
Those that make the claims must provide the proof. No one has to disprove.
The James Randi Educational Foundation just so happens to offer the largest amount of money, they are not the only ones that offer money for proof of the paranormal. See the link. However it does not matter. Fortune telling is the world’s second oldest profession.

What makes mass produced playing cards magical? The cardboard or the inks? Tarots are a form of divination. Basically psychic with a prop of randomness. There are 78 different cards, much more than regular cards. If you ever played poker, you know how rare certain combinations are. Having back to back royal flushes is near impossible. Repeating spreads for Tarots are impossible because position also matters too.

Below is a link to some types of divination. All require blind belief. Why would one need proof.

BTW, Randi does not even run the JREF anymore.

Edit: All the testing for the Randi Million is legally binding. All parties must agree on the test protocols and everyone is protected. If not, no testing. That simple. No one is forcing people to prove themselves, it’s all voluntary. If you really can do what you claim, why not make money and prove to the world such people exist? People make millions in sports because of their special talents. I guess physical ability is superior to psychic ability.

It depends on who does the reading. My sister got hers read a few times. And all but one of them turned out to be true. I don’t know if there is any online free readings. If it’s something your interested in you should try it. Or Angel readings is basically the same thing my sister and I have our own. They work a lot of the time. If you want a free one of them look up lolly.readings on facebook and send a message for a general reading (It’s not professional but it’s free) And see what you think of that before spending money on a professional ones. I’m not sure how tarot cards work but the angel cards work by being able to listen to your angels. Even if you don’t believe in angels it might still be fun to get done.

Answer by derrieric
Tarot cards are divination tools. Under this premise, the tarot cards that are revealed to us are a way for the super soul to communicate with our conscience. The more spiritually aware you are, the more the cards make sense.

But that’s only true when you’re under the impression that Tarot readings really are legit. The mind has a way of making it’s own interpretations of interpretations that are given, so in that aspect a Tarot reading would appear to be accurate more than it actually might be.

And the James Randi thing isn’t real, or at least it shouldn’t be taken as such. The paranormal experiments are manipulated in ways to prove why things are not what they seem. Sure, “James Randi has offered $ 1,000,000 to anyone who can scientifically prove the existence of the paranormal but no one has been able to claim it” sounds incredible when that’s all the information you have on it, but when you look further into it, you start to see the kinks in his experiments.

I give free tarot readings on tumblr. I’ll include my URL in the sources. I also will do a private one through email if you want that. They’re 100% free because I don’t believe in charging for advice. But, my readings are usually accurate. It’s just how you take the advice and apply it to your life. The cards are simply tools to giving advice. When I do a reading, I try to add my own advice at the end depending on what extra info you give me. But, go ahead and check it out. I have links on the bottom of the page to different types of spreads and under each link is a bunch of spreads. Hope this helps.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Tarot & Girls: During your reading did the psychic say that someone is very attracted to you?

I would think that at any point in time, a girl has at least 1 guy interested in her. So for a psychic to say this, chances are very high that it’s true. I’ve had different psychics say the same things about me: I’m obstinate, I’m a leader & not a follower, and that a guy is very attracted to me. Do psychics say this to everyone?

Answer by RainK
I would have to say no not exactly. Me and my friends did a test run on this question a month ago and we found that are results from the Tarot were all diffrent but the thing half of us had in common was the Tarot said we all have someone who loves us dearly. Then gain only 3/6 of us got told that

Answer by jasmine e
I won’t say that all psychic are frauds or anything, because I don’t believe that. I also don’t know that everyone with a sign has magic powers. Most “psychics” rely on very good observation. You probably carry yourself in a strong way, when you walk, and sit, and you probably speak boldly, and had a little sarcasm in your voice maybe, so this is what they gather from meeting you perhaps, or, if they are right, maybe they were really psychic, did they actually tell you anything useful, or that you did NOT already know… that is the question… and I agree, MOST people in general, have SOMEONE interested in them, so thats not a stretch…

Answer by peachyone
Honest ones don’t. If you are talking about a tarot reading, the subject doesn’t always present itself. If you are pulling similar cards for each reading, the message to you could very well sound the same from each. The cards drawn and their relationship to one another is what shapes the reading. There is no “canned” reading from an honest reader.

Answer by Kiyah
I dont go to ‘psychics’…. i read my own cards.

Answer by Hatir Ba Loon
Depends…Some of the “psychics” who hang out a sign are just con artists…and they will usually try and manipulate, or just give you the vanilla flavored reading. They just want your 20 bucks…

For a real reading, the reader is relying on their intuition to help them with an answer. Now, this will be coming from the subconscious, and will take advantage of a heck of a lot of information…most of which is gathered from the person asking the question…some will be from plain observation, some from judging reactions to things, and some gleaned from possibly extra-sensory sources…

Anyone can read tarot, I read my own cards, and no they never said someone was attracted to me, but they always say I should watch my back, because several people are out to get me. I found they are 100% true after being conspired against in the workplace by those who I thought were my friends and known enemies. 😉

Answer by VenomQueen
No. I have never been told that. I am that some things are general but I don’t know what you are going o several different pyschics for. Are you asking for a general reading or do you have something in mind? Ask them to focus on what you want to know and maybe they can give you more details. The part about that you are abstinant or that you are a leader. Why does that matter = you already know that about yourself, tell them that you want to find out something that you dont already know.

Answer by Pustic
Psychics are as phony as faith healers and anyone who uses their services need to be swindled. Don’t believe that bull crap.

Answer by WebWeaver
Psychic’s and Tarot Readers are not the same thing. I’m a reader but not a psychic. A reader reads the cards, a psychic can look at someone or touch something and read or see things about the person. I’m intuitive, and have some psychic experiences, but wouldn’t tell anyone I’m giving them a psychic reading. They are two different things, which can be combined, but are different.

I would say no, all psychic, don’t say that to everyone. Just as there are great ministers, there are ministers that are not so great. True of every profession. If the reading doesn’t feel right, it isn’t. If at the end of it, you learned something about yourself, and you felt better about something, or if not better you have understanding, then it was a good reading. You received value for your money.

What your saying isn’t anything I have EVER said to someone I’m doing a reading for. It does sound a bit like a standard, and again, if it didn’t feel right, don’t go back to that reader. You can also ask for your money back. I’ve had readings where nothing was connecting, I always stop the reading and refund the payment. Sometimes things are just off. I’ve had this happen in my own readings as well. Don’t however wait until the end, letting the person spend their time and energy on you, and then say… I don’t agree, I want my money back.
