tarot card reader

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Can giving your Tarot deck away give you bad karma?

My ex boyfriend took back a tarot deck that he had given me and a friend told me that unless I wash the deck of my karma everytime he uses it it’ll give me bad karma.
Is this true? If so how do I cleanse it?

Answer by walter
The only bad karma will be on him for taking back a gift he gave to you.

Go buy yourself a new one and don’t think twice about it.

FWIW: B.O.T.A sells uncolored decks you can paint yourself.

Answer by Emerald ♓
I think doing tarot on yourself gives you bad karma. I’m not trying to be a smart-ass… I heard that from people who are into that stuff.

Answer by Tarot By Misha
Think about anything at all that you own. It could be a piece of clothing you really like, jewelry, a photo, anything at all. The item ends up with our energy on it. Tarot cards are no different. As a reader my decks have my energies on it. Karma has nothing to do with it good or bad. However if I were to gift a deck I use to someone then yes that person would want to cleanse the deck. What that does is just gets my energy off it so that the cards will work for them. It is no different then when I am at an event and lots of people are getting readings from me and have handled the cards. When the event is over I will cleanse the deck to rid it of their energy. The cards are to work for the owner of the deck. It has nothing to do with any kind of karma being passed.

If you gave it back of your own free will because you no longer wanted it, it’s tie to you is broken.

Honestly, it’s just paper with drawings on it. It’s nice to treat it with some respect, but it’s just paper. You’re fine. It’s going to be ok.

Also, do some research on karma… I don’t think that word really means what you seem to think it means. Karma is attached to YOUR behavior, not to someone else’s behavior or the position of a deck of cards in the world.

Perhaps your friend means “energy”, not karma? One way to “cleanse” a deck is simply to put it back in order of the suits. But if you can’t do that, it’s not a big deal… once you gave the deck away, it was no longer yours and no longer attached to you.

Answer by Kora Krystle Young
That’s bullshit. Karma is attached to YOUR behavior. If you treat a deck wrongly, it’ll stop talking to you. Nothing serious– just get a new deck or ‘purify’ it. (There are ways to do that, but I don’t know them and that’s not the point) If you don’t want your deck, it’ll stop talking to you. If it’s taken unwillingly… well, I dunno.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Where can i get a free free psychic reading or tarot card reading online?

So i’m in a confused stage right now and i would like to know about my love life, i have a close friend and i REALLY like and well i want to know if me and him will be in a serious relationship one day.

Answer by RavenShadow
You can get a free reading on many sites. Tarot.com, even through MSN but…These “free” readings are about as accurate as nothing. Most of the readers online are just out to make a buck. They say they will give you a “free” reading, give you some very vague garbage, then try and stick you with a $ 19.95 fee for getting anything further. So from my own personal experience, just stay away from the online stuff. If you want to get a good reading, do some research locally, and obtain a reader with a good reputation, and you will be much happier.

Now here come the condemners, and the skeptics putting in their two cents worth, telling you it’s all crap and of some “devil”. Whatever…Their “prophets” and such are ok, but someone else’s?

Yes, there are fakes out the wazoo, but there are also those who have a gift. The problem is finding them and knowing when you’re being duped.

Answer by Dylan the CATholic
They’ll find you.

Answer by Ilana B.
I’m not sure where you can get a free reading online, and like the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for.”

The previous answer’s advice about seeking someone out locally is not a bad idea, but you can still look around online. Many local psychics or tarot readers (including myself!) advertise online, or do readings by phone or e-mail.

If you like, I can do a reading for you by e-mail (see my craiglist ad at: http://newjersey.craigslist.org/crs/1824713344.html).

Even if you don’t end up going to a psychic or a tarot reader, don’t worry too much about this issue. If you two are meant to be together in the future, you will be. The real future is the one you create, and cannot be dictated by another person or a set of cards.

Best of luck to you,

Answer by Cherisa
If you are really sincere in wanting to help yourself, you need to be willing to fork out some money for a real psychic. Psychic’s are people who need to eat too so it’s only fair that you pay them. If you’re really interested about getting a reading from an accurate psychic, email me.

Answer by Math
I will do a free serious reading for you if you want but not in here. Get in touch on byzantyne(a)gmail(dot)com. I have over 15 years experience as a psychic.

A fundamentalist Christian? No. An open minded Christian? Yes.

A lot of pagan-esque religions use tarot cards from time to time, but the tarot is not a specific tenet of any one religion. I think they speak for any religion, they are symbolic and can mean anything said by any main belief system…

Besides, they’re fun.

Answer by Peachie
What you COULD do is, read and study about HOW the Tarot came to be, and what it’s really all about and then make YOUR OWN decision!!!

Answer by Stephanie
Ah… I think that’s considered an idol, and whether it’s only for a while that you are using it, God wouldn’t be pleased. You’re putting more trust in that than in God’s grace. 🙂

Answer by majnun99
Sure, all they have to do is start reading tarot cards. It’s a cinch.

Answer by JORGE
No, stay away from these sorts of things, if anything you should kneel down and seek guidance from God and no one else. Leviticus 19:31 says: ‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God. You must know that the devil is a liar, and a father of lies. He will tell you that it’s fine to seek out other things besides God, The devil hates God and you must understand that, and if he hates God, he hates you as well with a passion. Another verse in the Bible you should read is in 1 Samuel 28:19-31 this is where Saul the king is fooled by the Devil. I hope this has cleared your question.

I don’t see why not, after all, you’ve already accepted one false premise, what’s another one going to matter?
